Your First Bet
The fastest path to placing your first prediction or entering your first competition.
Your First Bet
The fastest way to understand Fantasy Top is to jump in and play. This guide will walk you through placing your first bet, whether you want to try Prediction Markets or enter Core Competition.
Both paths are designed to get you playing in minutes.
Option 1: Prediction Markets (Fastest Start)
Best for: Getting a feel for the game without building a collection first.
Prediction Markets let you bet on specific outcomes about X influencers and events. Will a creator's tweet hit 1 million views? Will they post more than 5 times today? You're betting on real social momentum.

How to place your first prediction:
Go to Prediction Markets from the main navigation
Browse active markets - Look for questions about Heroes or events you're familiar with
Pick an outcome - Choose what you think will happen (Yes/No, Over/Under, etc.)
Enter your bet amount - Start small with Fragments to get a feel for it
Confirm and wait - Your bet is live. Watch as the event unfolds in real time
What happens next: When the market resolves, you'll either win Fragments (and potentially USDC in the future) or lose your stake. Either way, you just made your first social bet.
Option 2: Core Competition (Build and Compete)
Best for: Players who want to build a lineup and compete weekly.
Core Competition is where you assemble a team of Heroes and compete against other players based on their X performance. The better your Heroes perform, the higher you rank and the more you earn.

How to enter your first competition:
Get some Hero cards - Go to the Shop and buy a card pack with Fragments (100 Fragments minimum). You can earn Fragments through multiple game modes or buy them with ETH. Alternatively, you can buy specific Hero cards from the Marketplace if you know which Heroes you want.
Open your pack (if you bought one) - You'll receive random Hero cards of different rarities. These are the personalities you'll compete with.
Build your lineup - Go to Core Competition and select your Heroes. You'll need to fill specific positions based on the tournament format.
Submit your lineup - Lock in your team before the tournament starts. No entry fee required.
Watch and earn - Over the next week, your Heroes will score points based on their real X engagement. Check the leaderboard to see how you're ranking.
What happens next: At the end of the tournament, you'll earn Fragments, FAN Points, and potentially ETH based on your performance. The better your rank, the bigger the rewards.
Which Should You Choose?
Start with Prediction Markets if:
