Core Competition
Build a lineup of Heroes you own and compete in week-long tournaments across five league tiers for ETH prizes.
Build lineups of Heroes you own and compete in week-long tournaments. Core Competition is Fantasy Top's flagship mode, where your collection and strategic lineup choices determine your success across five league tiers.
How It Works
Core Competition runs in 3-day tournaments from Monday at 2:00 PM UTC to Thursday at 2:00 PM UTC. You build lineups from Hero cards you own, submit them before the deadline, and compete against other players in your chosen league.
No entry fees. You only need to own the Hero cards in your lineups to compete.
Weekly tournaments. Each week is a fresh competition with new prize pools.
Multiple leagues. Choose which league to enter based on your deck's rarity and Star ratings.
Unlimited decks. You can register as many decks as you want in any league, as long as each deck meets the league requirements.
Building Your Lineup
Each lineup consists of 5 Hero cards. You select 5 cards from your collection and register them for the 3-day tournament period.

Requirements:
You must own each Hero card you include in your lineup
Your deck must meet the league's rarity cap (limits on Rares, Epics, and Legendaries)
Your deck must meet the league's Star cap (maximum total Stars across all 5 Heroes)
You cannot use the same exact card in multiple decks
Both rarity multipliers and Star ratings affect your competitive power, so lineup building requires balancing high-scoring Heroes with the constraints of your chosen league.
Card Locking
You can freely edit your registered decks until the tournament starts (Monday at 2:00 PM UTC). Swap Heroes in and out as much as you want before the deadline.
Once the tournament begins, cards lock for 3 hours:
You cannot sell locked cards on the marketplace
You cannot burn locked cards
You cannot use locked cards for leveling up other Heroes
Cards unlock 3 hours after the tournament begins (Monday at 5:00 PM UTC). Once unlocked, you can sell, burn, or level up those cards while the tournament continues. Your lineup remains active and continues scoring even after cards unlock.
League Structure and Caps
There are five competitive leagues, each with different rarity caps, Star caps, and prize pools:
Bronze League
Star Cap: 19 Max
Rarity Restrictions: Commons Only
Entry-level competition. Only Common cards allowed, keeping the playing field completely even.
Silver League
Star Cap: 23 Max
Rarity Restrictions: Commons Allowed, Rares 3 Max
Moderate restrictions. You can include up to 3 Rare cards in your 5-card lineup.
Gold League
Star Cap: 25 Max
Rarity Restrictions: Commons Allowed, Rares Allowed, Epics 2 Max
Mid-tier competition. Up to 2 Epic cards allowed for increased scoring potential.
Platinum League
Star Cap: 27 Max
Rarity Restrictions: Commons Allowed, Rares Allowed, Epics 3 Max, Legendaries 1 Max
Advanced play. You can include up to 3 Epics and 1 Legendary in your lineup.
Diamond League
Star Cap: No Limit
Rarity Restrictions: All rarities allowed (Commons, Rares, Epics, Legendaries)
The highest tier. Maximum deck-building freedom and the largest prize pools. Build the strongest possible lineup.
Choosing Your League
You can enter any league where your deck meets the requirements. There's no promotion or demotion system. If you have the cards to compete in Diamond, you can enter Diamond. If you want to test a budget deck in Bronze, you can do that too.
You can also enter multiple leagues simultaneously with different decks. Many players maintain several lineups:
A budget Bronze deck for consistent, low-risk returns
A mid-tier Gold or Platinum deck for moderate competition
A maximum-power Diamond deck when they have strong cards
The only restriction is that you cannot use the same exact card in multiple active decks. However, if you own multiple copies of the same Hero (same rarity), you can use each copy in different decks.
Scoring
Your lineup accumulates points throughout the 3-day tournament based on your Heroes' X engagement. Scores update every 15-30 minutes as Heroes post and gain engagement.
Your total score is calculated from:
Each Hero's raw engagement score (views, likes, comments, reposts, quotes)
Multiplied by their card rarity (1x for Common, 1.5x for Rare, 2x for Epic, 2.5x for Legendary)
Filtered for bot activity and spam to ensure fair scoring
The better your Heroes perform on X during the tournament, the higher your lineup scores. Heroes who go viral, drive conversation, or post consistently will contribute the most points.
Rankings and Prizes
At the end of the tournament (Thursday at 2:00 PM UTC), all players in each league are ranked by their total score.
Prize distribution includes:
ETH for top finishers (amount depends on league and placement)
Fragments for various placement tiers
FAN Points based on performance
Higher leagues offer larger prize pools, but also face tougher competition. Diamond League has the biggest prizes but features the most optimized lineups and experienced players.
Prize structures vary by league and are displayed before you register each deck.

Core Competition vs Other Modes
Core Competition is unique because:
It requires card ownership (Arena and King of the Hill don't)
It runs for 3 days (longer than other modes)
It has no entry fee besides owning the cards
It offers the largest ETH prize pools
It rewards collection building and long-term investment
You can enter unlimited decks across multiple leagues
Core Competition is the mode where your collection truly matters. The better your cards and the deeper your roster, the more competitive options you have.
